Checking and caring for your cards

Checking and caring for your cards

Taking a few moments to inspect and organise a delivery makes it easier to keep track of your collection. Keep the order confirmation nearby and work on a clean, dry surface.

Check the parcel before opening

Look over the outer parcel and photograph any visible damage, including the shipping label and affected area. Keep the packaging until you have checked the contents. If something appears wrong, contact the shop with your order number and clear photographs so the issue can be reviewed.

Compare the contents with your order

Check the product name, selected format, language and quantity against your confirmation. For sealed products, inspect the packaging before opening it. For single cards, compare the card name, set and card number with the listing, and review the front, back, edges and corners in good light.

If an item looks different from what you ordered, pause before opening or altering it and contact us. Review the published shipping information and returns information before ordering.

Handle and store cards carefully

  • Use clean, dry hands and hold cards gently by their edges.
  • Place cards in sleeves that fit without forcing or bending them.
  • For added support, use a suitable rigid holder or a binder designed for cards.
  • Store the collection away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
  • Avoid overfilling binders or placing heavy objects on cards and sealed boxes.

Keep a simple collection record

Record the card name, language, set and card number, along with photographs when useful. Clear records can help you avoid duplicate purchases and describe cards accurately when discussing your collection.
